It’s why I’m also having him out as one of my speakers for this year’s Canada Marketing Summit..
Here are a couple of freebies from him…
Opt-in IS required as normal. The content you get from him for fr*ee easily surpasses the value of most products you see for sale. That’s not an exaggeration in any form… it’s why he has such amazing level of respect in this industry and why he went from $0 to $160k PER MONTH in rapid time.
Rob TheGenie Toth I’m locking in the final speaker slots for this year’s http://www.CanadaMarketingSummit.ca/ … QUESTION : If you could build the “ultimate direct marketing + internet marketing” seminar… who are some of the entrepreneurs and proven-experts you’d like to hear from **AND/OR** which topic would you like to learn about the most???
Want to hear how an average couple built a $117 mill business? It’s fully detailed in the “Info Millions” course which sells for $497.
Do you think others would want a copy of that course?? The Legal Resale Rights License for the course is offered for $1497… which would then give you the ability to re-sell the entire program from your sites, your merchant account and keep every dollar of the sale as yours.
So I posted about one of my “mo*ney funnels” and mentioned the high conversions that my MoneyNowReport.com gets… even though I have pretty well no salescopy on there at all.
(If you missed that post, head to the mini-blog at http://www.robthegenietoth.com )
No bullet points. No long salesletter trying to sell the visitor on “opting-in”.
So why does it convert so much better?
BECAUSE it doesn’t have salescopy…
Take a look at a screenshot of a squeeze page I saw from Ryan Diess just yesterday…
… I just posted it to the mini blog (RobTheGenieToth.com)…
BTW… Ryan’s business grosses 8-figures annually.
no salescopy!!
And think about the last 6+ month worth of promotions and launches. How many slideshow presentations vs. salespages are you seeing?
we’re all growing lazy in this department…
I don’t read salespages either.
I know most don’t even read INSTRUCTIONS let alone salescopy.
Now, I don’t want this to turn into a “is salescopy dead”… first of all, ad copy certainly isn’t dead. But are long windeded salesletters the best way to present and sell a concept? I doubt it.
Another few years and we’ll probably be able to project a hologram of a robot-salesrep into the prospect’s living room and have that hologram make the prospect a nice breakfast and tell it jokes while it goes about a complex, engaging sales presentation.
Will you still be relying on salesletters then?
Most of you probably even gave up reading this email.
Sure, if I made it more engaging, more relevant… you’d read it all the way.
Just like if your salescopy is interesting and relevant to a hot prospect, they’ll read it.
but in a marketplace of “too many choices”, the REALLY HOT prospect is a minority. You get a lot of lukewarms. ANd you COULD close a lot of those lukewarms into sales, but it sure won’t happen with just a plain old salespage.
so what’s the lesson?
I don’t know… play around with your delivery, think out of the box, test your conversions, use multimedia, create an experience, create interactivity … but don’t assume that if you have a headline, fancy copywriting and some bullet points that it will convert the best.
** This is a longer post but it’s a full walk-through of one of my 4-figure per month Money Funnels…
A money funnel let’s you create as many leads as you want WHILE getting paid to do it.
Or (said another way), create a lot of money while also generating leads.
You only need one good money funnel and you’re on your way.
Key problems holding beginners back from making at least a full time income online:
1) they don’t understand what I’m about to teach
2) if they do understand it, they try to overcomplicate it… it’s the SIMPLICITY that sells
3) they want a “don’t lift a finger” magic-money system
There’s no magic here.
Let me show you something that’s SIMPLE but COMPLETELY works…
DISCLAIMER: For the example, I’m referencing 2 of my offers. So this might seem biased (and it probably is), but the model holds up for any other legitimate products/offers you want to slide into it.
VERY simple site. It converts at 38%. Could I improve that? Sure. But I’m lazy and I’d rather focus on getting more leads to it. 38% is already above the average rate. So it’s pretty damn good.
LESSON 1: my simple lead capture page, without long winded fancy salescopy converts better than most IMers. SIMPLE works.
(You could argue that the unique design, the attention grabbing product title and the fact that I only ask for Email, not Name+Email… these also help the higher conversions. Point is though, simplicity).
If you opt-in, you’ll be first asked to confirm your email (which then gets the lead into my autoresponder which sells them even more product) … but when my lead confirms their email, they get redirected to this offer as the upsell:
This isn’t new info unless you’re just getting started. I have a very low ticket upsell (just $20). I could have put a $49, $97 product there etc). My $20 upsell converts at roughly 11%. It could be higher but, again taking a free lead to $20 11% of the time is fine for me right now.
What does this mean so far?
If I take 1000 visitors to my MoneyNowReport.com (which is easy), then roughly 380 will opt-in.
Out of 380, about 11% will buy the $20 offer right away. That’s 41.8 sales at $20… so that’s $836 in my pocket. AND 380 new leads on my list.
Before I move further in this funnel… let’s clarify:
- I could increase the front-end conversions further if I cared enough and this was my only project. I know I could get it to at least 50% (several of my other sites enjoy 50% + conversions)… however MoneyNowReport.com is a bit of a side-project for me. Point is though, if I increase the opt-in conversions, I make more money.
- I could increase the conversions for the current $20 offer… or, better yet, I could put a $49 offer there which I’m sure I could retain at 8%-12% conversion.
So, assuming I wasn’t lazy (which I am, especially when it comes to this particular funnel)… I could be seeing this math:
1000 visitors at 50% conversion = 500 leads
500 leads see a $49 offer at 10% conversion… that’s 50 sales at $49 = $2450 cash in pocket PLUS my 500 new leads.
(There’s a LOT more money here, I’ll explain it in a second)…
Reflect on that though for a second. What did it really take? A good front end freebie and a worthwhile relevant upsell…
Then the ONLY SINGLE INGREDIENT you need is getting “traffic” to the front end freebie.
Let’s keep going though… I have 3 other immediate ways this all makes me money…
MORE MONEY #1…
First, if a visitor to my site exits www.MoneyNowReport.com, they ALSO see that same $20 upsell. Go test it out if you like.
Now, the sales from that “exit offer” is a lot lower… 3%. The reason for that is pretty understandable. People are leaving AND they have to click ‘Cancel’ to stay on the page to even really see the offer.
None the less, out of 100 visitors who LEAVE the page without opting in, that still meeans I make an extra $60 (3% x $20)… So if I had 1000 visitors to my page and currently 620 of them exit (since currently I have 38% conversions)… that means I see an extra 620 x 3% x $20 = $372.
So far… with my current low conversions (though even my LOW conversions are higher than industry average), I’m seeing approx $836 + this $372 = $1208 PLUS my 380 leads.
$1200 is what I used to make as NET income at a full time job. Now I do it anytime I send 1000 visitors to MoneyNowReport.com … and that’s just a side project.
But do you follow how simple this funnel is so far? If not, post a comment and I’ll create a video if necessary to explain.
MORE MONEY #2…
Based on my current stats and this example, I have 380 new leads. Each of them goes into my Aweber autoresponder.
For the few who are reading this and still unfamiliar with “autoresponders”, it’s essentially a service/software that sends out my pre-written emails at pre-determined intervals to leads.
Example. I can have 10 emails written with content and/or a sales pitch and have them delivered every 3 days. So as soon as a lead opts-in, they get 30 days (10 messages x every 3 days) worth of emails from me.
Well I make use of my autoresponder. Not so much in this one attched to MoneyNowReport.com as I think there are only 4 messages in that one (like I said I’m lazy).
But the point is, my emails go out automatically and create even more money from these 380 leads.
MORE MONEY #3…
But this one’s a LOT more fun.
Check this out…
The report that my reader just downloaded from MoneyNowReport.com certainly has a lot of tactics and 87-pages of content BUT it also has soft-sells and references to other offers.
So everyone who reads my report, could click any of those referenced sites and create even more sales/commissions for me.
One of the strongest built-in pitches is the rebranding.
Marketers with intermediate or advanced skills know that giving away a report loaded with their affiliate links, especially if it’s an attention grabbing title and high-interest topic is an easy way to create more commissions.
And it definitely is.
That’s how I made my first dollars when I started marketing online. It was with mini booklets and reports, that had my affiliate links in them… I gave the reports away freely, readers enjoyed them, but some clicked the endorsed links and resources and that created affiliate commissions or sales for me.
It’s so effective that 5+ years later, I STILL use that same strategy (as you see with MoneyNowReport.com).
Okay…
So the point is, some who have experienced with viral reports will want an opportunity to have a copy of the report with THEIR OWN affiliate links in it.
This part has been trickier to properly track conversions of so this is my best guesstimate based on my own direct sales from reports downloaded at my site… and it seems like roughly 10% who read the report get a branded copy.
So if 380 download it, I’d say 80 never actually read it (it’s a reality in the marketplace)… but 300 readers converts into 10% x $37 = $1110.
******* LET’S RECAP **********
Let me say that the 380 leads in my above scenario which is fairly accurate, as based on my current conversions/stats… those 380 leads (out of 1000 visitors I send to MoneyNowReport.com) are worth a lot more than just the above to me. But let’s consider the above…
I have a good front end freebie.
I have an upsell offer.
And just with those 2 elements… I’m making roughly $2300 plus all the sales from the report links and the autoresponder emails to my 380 leads. So let’s say $3000 though it’s probably closer to $4000.
That’s what I make for giving away free copies of my MoneyNowReport.com. 1000 visitors makes me roughly $3000 (though, again, it’s probably a lot higher in the short run and DEFINITELY a lot higher over the many months that I have those 380 leads).
But it’s a very simple process in the big picture… a quality, front end freebie, and a quality upsell.
******* YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME **********
Okay so I’ll boldly recommend you stop getting in your own damn way.
Stop looking for absolute short-cuts. The above is simple but it’s still not “push button”. well, push button doesn’t exist.
And stop over complicating it for yourself.
Look for your own solutions… but if all you want is extra income, then setup the same as what I have above…
Here’s how:
The report I mentioned is re-brandable. So you’ll have the same report, with graphics, squeeze page, download page etc all handed to you. And the report will be branded with YOUR affiliate links.
Here’s how to get a Branding Kit (it’s dead simple to do, others I have techies that can rebrand it for you):
As you see, that comes with Master Resale Rights which means you’ll receive the product and the webpage, graphics etc. So you can get it setup as your upsell (or use a techie to do this for you).
You also need a domain name ($10 per year), hosting ($6 per month or less) and an email management system if you want that automated autoresponder money, Aweber ($10 per month)…
And if you need a techie to tie it all together, I can refer you to one of my guys (though add on another $40 or $50 for their time). Or find your own techie if need be at Freelancer.com
BUT.. with the above, the total cost for you to have a pro money funnel is $37 (branding), $47 (professional traffic course as your upsell), $10 (domain name), $6 (hosting), $10 (OPTIONAL: Aweber), $40 (OPTIONAL: techie to set it all up for you).
That’s less than $150. Then all you focus on is driving traffic.
(And that same $47 traffic course you just bought will give you MANY strategies for getting visitors to your site).
But, set THAT up (or pay the $40 / $50 to have someone else set it up for you) and you have a guaranteed new income stream.
It’s dead simple stuff guys!
But junk products won’t cut it. The point is: value.
But don’t overcomplicate it anymore for yourself.
And, of course, you’ll still have to tell others about your report and promote it, but that’s it! that’s all you’ll need to focus on.
Not $2000 new home study courses, not fancy new software that confuses you, not expensive coaching. Just get this going for yourself.. make yourself $10k or so. I promise you THAT money will change your paradigm REAL QUICK … and then you can get fancy.
But until you’ve made some really good bucks, keep it simple and start with the above.
That’s ONE of my money funnels.
Hope that helped.
As always… comments welcomed. Or tell a friend about this post if you think they’ll want to hear of it.
The business he started up was failing. That part’s bound to happen to anyone.
However, he’s a marketing mogul.
He decided to take a gruelling 16-hour trek with 15 kilos of pot for a potential pay-off of $10,000 that would then help his business float a little longer.
Now let me recap what I just said there…
A supposed “marketing mogul” needs just $10,000 to float a little longer and his best way to create these funds is a demanding and risky trek through the mountains across from Canada into the USA.
If you’re the ad-whiz and the best quick-cash you can dream up is smuggling drugs… what does that really say about your marketing prowess?
That’s the problem…
Marketing expert, marketing mogul, guru etc … these terms get thrown around a lot.
And they are labels often given to people who are one-hit wonders.
Suppose you’re about to hire this guy’s ad agency and you’re about to not only invest a SUBSTAINTABLE amount to have them design the campaign… but then a lot more to actually market the campaign…
Do you want the type of expert who can’t fill a $10k void without resorting to smuggling drugs?
