There’s a difference between terrific marketers who can SELL …
Vs.
Business developers.
A great marketer can get tens of thousands onto a notification list for an upcoming launch and then SELL those users a very premium priced $2000-coaching program.
Because they are great sellers.
I give them credit.
But I don’t subscribe to their lists or pay attention much.
I don’t want to constantly sell. I want to develop a business that does the selling for me (cliche phrase I know, but that’s the goal).
When I was building my list of speakers for Canada Marketing Summit 2010, I wanted Lee McIntyre here in Vancouver for a good reason: he has an actual BUSINESS.
One that he grew from his first sale in January 2009 to 2595 MONTHLY sales in December 2009 and created $923,313 in the process.
In one year.
Not from ANY launches or any short lived influx of sales, mind you, but an actual continually growing business.
He’s up to roughly $170k per month … and by the way, I’ve had many beers with him. I know his model and I know his future plans and it’s all smart, consistent, long term growth based… no short, hard-selling, up and down based.
I’m not a fan of the “product launch” model.
(Unless you’re Apple… because then it’s just freakin cool to even see the whole launch unfold.)
All a so-called “launch” (better named: an event based SALE) accomplishes is the same thing that most other sales professionals like mortage brokers, real estate agents, insurance agents etc get to enjoy: Feast or FAMINE.
It’s the yo-yo of rockstar mo*ney one month followed by a draught for 3-4 months.
This KILLS your creativity. Sucks out your energy and unless you’re hard-wired to actually enjoy this process (that’s a minority of us), you will HATE it.
It his new “let me explain how” product for $20 bucks and I’ve endorsed probably all of his stuff by now and this is my favorite.
His previous course (on how to create Rapid sales videos and sales funnels) was particulary cool to me. But this is now my favorite because it hits home and hopefully will begin a process of education for 2 groups:
1) the folks who bought into the “product launch” nonsense and think that it’s an intelligent way to achieve their inc*ome goals
2) the folks who are still doing the “where do I start” bit.
No question no doubt, I think every “internet marketer” man, woman and child should study Lee. He is one of the only marketers I pay attention to.
It is NOT free. It IS $20 ($19.95).
But, from someone who can feel the pain of having spent YEARS chasing just random quick mo*ney gimmicks and doing one-off sales promotions and launches… and only in the last couple of years clued into the intelligence and absolute power of all this stuff… I would just hope you at least skim his product details and then figure out if this is another “waste of money” or finally one of the best spent $20:
Lee deserves every bit of credit and kudos that top marketers are giving him. He doesn’t play the “let’s brand my name” game and doesn’t take part in big fluffed up launches.
He’s sincere… and as an ex high-school teacher so he knows how to TEACH it all.
I hope you like the recommendation. I certainly make a commission… but I could have just as easily tried to “sell you” on a $2000 course where I’d make $1000 per sale (not a measly $10 per sale). I’m recommending THIS product because I have a feeling that you will love it.
(If not, return it. Lee’s legit. His office will give you a refund no problem.)
P.S. I was first a fan of his fr*ee stuff… then I became a customer of his.. then we started emailing… then I became an affiliate of his… bought some more of his stuff. We now built a friendship. He sent me access to this new course and it’s really cool.
I’d say START with this $20 product and enter the brain of Lee McIntyre. But later, if you already plan on growing your education/library… don’t go buy those $2000 courses… just check out what else Lee has. They are all right on the money. Super sharp stuff. And, you’d be learning from someone who has $150k- $170k MONTHS… not just one big launch for an overpriced course. But a business with thousands of customers, 103,000 subscribers … and all of it he built in nearly 1 year based on value that people are actually willing to talk about.
But later, if you already plan on growing your education/library… don’t go buy those $2000 courses… just check out what else Lee has. They are all right on the money. Super sharp stuff.
